In recent years, how to resolve the problem of increasingly blocking up city transportation, the city planners have to face difficult choices. Making use of the existing passenger car, and takes into the improvement with increases, improve people's outing quantity and efficiency in addition that not to excessive increase developments financing of city roads. This will be a potential form of public traffic. The BRT is that kind of method. This paper studies the BRT network planning of city.The BRT demand forecast is the BRT foundation. Traditional, the city passenger transportation needs estimate method is "four stages method". This paper put forward a kind of suitable method for BRT to investigate and predict -"three stages method", and put forward the suitable forecast model of each stage, and acquire the BRT OD through in large quantity of the data and the reasonable forecast, makes the result more dependable and accurate.Based on the study of BRT characteristic and the existing bus net problem to establish the reasonable hierarchy of BRT, put forward the line net programming model of BRT according to the reasonable hierarchy. This paper studies the design of BRT according to the form of the old road, and gives six kinds of BRT central road and three kinds of BRT side road setting method. At the same time, according to the research of the current cultural heritage, induce the BRT cross to handle method and BRT stop to setting method, discuss the method of changes to link up of the BRT and the other public transportation.According to the BRT characteristics, this paper establishes the principle of BRT network evaluation system, and put forward a more viable BRT network evaluation system. Finally, analyzed the BeiYuan Street BRT programming of JiNan city.
