With the exciting advancement of freeform technology and manufacturing technology,The freeform spectacle lenses has been widely popularized and applied.Aiming at the lack of related testing standards and evaluation system of freeform spectacle lenses and consumers cannot identify the imaging quality of theirs,an evaluation method of freeform spectacle lenses is proposed,based on analysis of imaging quality evaluation parameters for MTF and distortion.The main research object is the progressive addition lens base on freeform technology in this thesis,hereinafter to be referred as the progressive addition lens.The studies can be summarized as follows:(1)The quality evaluation method of optical imaging system is studied,and evaluated the imaging quality of the progressive addition lens by analysed imaging quality evaluation parameters for MTF is proposed,and introduced the significance of this method.(2)The refractive error eye model is constructed,combined the refractive error eye model with the progressive addition lens as lens-eye combined optical system,and the theoretical simulation and experimental measurement of the MTF of distant area,near area and the progressive corridor of this system.The difference in imaging quality of different regions of the lens and the same area of different lenses is studied,and the root mean square of MTF of lens-eye combined optical system is analysed.(3)Took into the eyeball rolling of actual human viewing and the two aspects of actual wore glasses,the pantoscopic tilt and the face fitting angle,the refractive error eye model is constructed by controlled the axial distance of the eye.A statistical technique was applied by analysed the MTF of the agonic,pantoscopic tilt and the face fitting angle in the distant area,near area and the progressive corridor of the simulation model of lens-eye combined optical system.(4)By compared the results of the theoretical simulation and experimental measurement,statistical analysed the distortion of distant area,near area and the progressive corridor of lens-eye combined optical system.The curve of the relationship between distortion and diopter,field of view is fitted.And the root mean square error of distortion of lens-eye combined optical system is calculated,and combined the root mean square of MTF,further evaluated the imaging quality of the progressive addition lens.
