Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) is a type of new supporting equipment. Since AMB has some advantages compared with mechanical bearings, no friction, without lubrication, no wear, long service life and so on, more and more attention is paid on it in the science and enterprise field. It is a typical mechatronics product, which involves electromagnetics electrical engineering, mechanics rotor-dynamics, control theory and computer science. The principal work of this dissertation is the research of the optimum design on active magnetic bearing.First of all, we should get the mathematical model, make a detailed deduction on electromagnetic force. Based on the configuration analyzing of magnetic bearing, electromagnetic parameter is introduced and analyzed. The optimum design of radial magnetic bearings (including the geometry and electronic parameters is presented in this paper. The relationship between the magnetic force, the coil inductance or the heating generate by bearings and the system parameter is deduced. The optimum model is established under the constraint of mechanical size and heating, in it, the maximal force and minimal coil inductance are the objections.The new thinking and methods about setting up quiescent point of differential driving magnets with static load and starting suspension have been presented. The concrete design diagram is achieved, which has practical value in contriving electromagnetic bearing.The integrative debugging method of electromagnetic bearing is put forward. The problem of plus admeasure, geometry center and other parameters such as Kd , Kc. It has some meanings to the debugging of the electromagnetic bearing.
