For portal frame light steel structure building, it has been widely used with less consumption of steel and has obvious advantage on the period and applicability of the construction with comparison to the tradition.It is important for this metal building systems that structure lighter. This paper discusses the characteristics of the metal building constructure and introduces its design method and dynamic characteristic. Mathematical model of Optimum Design is given with minimal steel consumption of construction and constrains of the code. Based on OOP of ANSYS program, the number of times and the size etc. are given. On the model of the optimum design, it's proceed modal of FEA; With the superior design, structural vibration period is studied for providing the theories calculation of construction engineering; Calculating many load cases, some parameters are given and provide the beneficial datum for actual engineering.The research in task evinces the construction cost can be reduced by optimize design and has good dynamic characteristic. Optimum technology has a better project applying value in structural design.
