This thesis concerns with the flow characteristic about the secondary wind system of power plant tangential firing boiler. Because of the structure features of the secondary wind system is so special, which contains many embranchment, valve adjustment and short tube, the traditional measurement is more or less limited by the special system. This thesis established the 3-D models of the system to simulate, and study the flow characteristic.Corresponding to the structure features, the simulation object are respectively right angle rectangle duct and empty duct. Also the systems with different valve angle conditions are simulated. And all the simulation results are analyzed.In addition, the experiments are done to examine the validity of the simulations. The small scale model is constituted. The flux of the duct exits are measured in the method of equal-area measurement. After comparing the measured results with the simulation results, it is found the possibility to constitute the measured results according to the simulation results by some means. Thus, it is easy to predict the outflow of the system by the simulation. This will make sense to application.
