Character Finite Volume Method(FVM~ utilized to calculate Bosten lake hydrodynamic characteristic in this paper. It is testified that wind-driven is primary cause which formed circulate flow velocity field is offered. Different wind direction has distinct effect on circulation flow structure. The unstructured mesh is adopted~which can be refined locally and adaptively according to the planar geometry of computational domain. The unsteady 2D shallow water circulation flow equations expresse(l by conserva~ion variables is induced. According, to quantity and momentum conservation law, the equations dispersed FVM method. The solution key is normal numerical flux ,a Iligh-Perfermance Algorithm桹sher scheme is utilized. The result indicated it makes caculate predigest and has high efficiency. Stationary water was caLculaed as a example in order to testify the Algorithm and program is correct. Water quantity balance has contented. Compared this numerical result with that of FDM ,it indicated that Character FVM has high efficiency and less calculate amount.
