Wind-induced internal pressure refers to the change of structure internal pressure in circumstance of strong wind, especially when the envelop structures such as doors and windows or curtain walls are forced open or broken. Therefore as regard to the influence of wind on a structure, not only the external pressure but also the exter-inter wind pressure combined action should be considered. In some cases of wind hazard, a large proportion of the wind-caused damage of low-rise building and long-span flexible roof is due to the exter-inter wind pressure combined action. So far, the mechanism of the internal pressure is still under research. During the process of structural design, the wind-induced internal pressure coefficient according to the load code is only a suggestion value for nominal closed or opened structures. The internal pressure and wind-induced vibration of the structural roofsneed more accurate simulation. It is also one of the valuable research topics in modern structure wind engineering.Wind tunnel tests of rigid structural model are carried out to investigate the internal pressure of structures with openings. Low-rise building models with different roof slopes are tested in the different kinds of turbulent wind fields to investigate the effects of windward velocity, opening ratio and location, turbulent intensity, and roof slope on the wind-induced internal pressures.Based on the wind tunnel test data, the characteristics of internal pressure on structures with openings were analyzed. By applying the Bernoulli equation, according to the conservation of flow in the steady state, the formula for the average internal pressure was deduced. By carrying out data fitting for experiment result according to the average internal pressure of the wind field, a mathematical model which take turbulent intensity, opening ratio and location, roof slope type as model variables is build up.In evaluation, Using Computational Fluid Dynamics numerical simulation to calculate various conditions on double-slope roof which include different location and number of opening. Comparing and contrasting with theoretical formula calculations and analyzing the influence of different factor to wind-induced internal pressure.
