Conventional refrigeration system are always for factory or family, widely used in refrigeratory and air-conditioning, but in some special situation, for example in military, the volume and weight of the cooling equipment are restrict strictly, which promote the development of miniaturization in cooling system.A man-portable cooling system is presented in the dissertation, which is based on the well-known lithium bromide-water absorption cycle, combined with plate-fin, by taking advantage of the high rates of heat and mass transfer available in microchannels. Using many microchannels in parallel, the cooler can be deployed with radical reductions in size compared to conventional systems. The cooler consists of an absorber, a solution pump, a solution heat exchanger, a desorber, a evaporator, a condenser and a combustor. The calculation of its thermodynamics, heat transfer and structure are included in this dissertation .The cooler can be carried by a man. A complete software of thermophysical property of working medium included lithium bromide-water, flue gas, saturated water, saturated water vapor and superheat water vapor was designed as their temperature, pressure, enthalpy and so on are varied continuously. It can be used in the process of design and simulation. In the end, based on the calculated result, according to the principle of mass conservation, energy conservation and the phase equilibrium, a simulation model of the system was set up. A program was designed from the model, carried a simulation under different operation states. Having an analysis and getting the system running performance under different operation.
