The feasibility study on the production of sintered hollow block's raw material is analysized by extracting the chlorite and the hyalite from the waste of Qidashan Open-pit Mine with the modern test method and analytical procedure, which is based on the integration with the theory analysis, experimental investigation and cost-effectiveness analysis. At the same time, the influence of the mine waste content and dimensional effect on the physical and mechanical performance comes out by test study. Finally, the technical feasibility and economic rationality is demonstrated at the point from the technical economy.The production feasibility of the sintered hollow block with the mine waste is evaluated and the property of raw material is analysized by the study on the chemical constitution, mineral composition and physical property of the chlorite and the hyalite extracted from the waste of the metal mine. On the other hand, the proper match range is achieved through indoor test. The proper match range for raw material of sintered hollow block is (15~50%) hyalite, (65~30%)chlorite, (20%)gangue with the optimum temperature 970~1140℃. The wide match range and moderate calcinations temperature guarantees the feasibility for the production of raw material. The utilization of the mine waste can be 100%, based on adaptive production, confectioning and calcinations technology of raw material by means of proper match, moderate adjustment for the embryo and mineral composition, plasticity index, drying and calcinations sensitivity.The research consequence, based on the analyze in technology and economic index which includes the profit and earning rate and so on, shows that the production technology is feasible, reliable, economic with higher economic and social benefit and stronger anti-risk capability.The technology that the sintered hollow block is produced by the mine waste fits the comprehensive utilization policy of national energy. On the other hand, the productions own extensive prospect, which can pave the road for the regulation of industrial structure and the development of economic growth in the non-mine enterprise.
