Chongqing, a city located in west China, confronted with a series of chances, such as Yangtze Gorges project, Municipality directly under the Central Government, Development of the West Regions, and fully developing our ideal society so on, which made Chongqing get great progress. The GDP of Chongqing has increased by double digit every year since 1998, and gets to 266.539 billion in 2004, 9608 yuan per person. Engel's coefficient of downsman family of Chongqing decreased below 40% in 2004. Chongqing has been in fast develop period according to international stardard. Considering the relationship between Engel's coefficient of a nation and car manufacture, there is an fast accretionary phase of car numbers in Chongqing. The information that the number of car raise 22% per year just prove it.The contradictions between fast growing availability of vehicles and lack of parking space are becoming increasingly acute. Guide line of parking space for buildings in major urban districts of Chongqing can't fit with the demand of car development. The problem of lack parking space hinders the grow of the city. So it's important operation significance to study and improve the guide line of parking space for buildings in major urban districts of Chongqing.This article analyzes the development of public traffic and status quo of urban parking in China oanalyzes and studys the policies of urban parking and the experiences of establishing indicator system in and out of China, conbines the returns of the system planning of Chongqing, the traffic development strategy of Chongqing, the integrating traffic planning in major urban districts of Chongqing, analyzes and demonstrates deeply the status quo of urban parking and existed problems on sample survey, then founds the predicting model of parking demand and the model of growth rate of parking demand. It also suggests the development strategy of urban parking, establishes the operational guide line of parking space for buildings in major urban districts of Chongqing, specifys the classification standard and the cardinal unit of buildings, and offers suggestions of the concerned parking policies.Above all, the article is based on full and accurate information, and has use for reference in some aspects, eg. foundation of mathsmatical model, predicting the total parking demand, and establishment of the guide line etc. However, there is still some defects needing being corrected later. |
