A combination of the merits on the concrete-filled steel tube and the arch bridge, in recent years, leads the concrete-filled tube arch bridges to be developed rapidly in our country. Since 1990, nearly 100 concrete-filled tube arch bridges have been built or been building. With the development and progress of the build-technology and the bridge design theory, people hope the concrete-filled tube arch bridge to be improved on the span, the stability and the bearing capacity. Compare with the traditional concrete-filled tube arch bridge, the X-shaped arch bridge has the predominance on the stability in cross, the span and the bearing capacity and so on. Made the arch inclining to the vertical orient, the X-shaped arch bridge gain the high stability in cross and large bearing capacity. Furthermore, this kind of bridge is very beautiful. The build stability of this kind of bridge is better than the traditional concrete-filledtube arch bridge's.The author made a summary of the main parameters and the design theory of the X-shaped arch bridge, reference to the Tai-Xing Bridge. After building the whole bridge finite element model, the author analyzed the change of internal stress under the self-weight and the load force and compared the difference of the stress distribution between the X-shaped arch bridge and the traditional concrete-filled tube arch bridge. The author analyzed the stability of the X-shaped arch bridge in use and in building and discussed the effects of the lateral braces on the stability. In the last, the author built the solid element on the node of the arch and beam, calculated the move, the deformation and the stress under every load style in use, which can be use to guide the building well.Using ANSYS, as a large generally used finite element software, to calculate and analyze the bridge in this paper, the author summarized the experience in bridge engineering and provided the guidance in using this finite element software, which is steady in use and exact on calculation, in bridge engineering.By the work in this thesis, the author wish that this economic beautiful bridge could be used widely in our country and the research result could support for the further research.
