This dissertation studies the basic theory, thoroughly, particularly, and systemically,of the new type of hydraulic actuator component-----The High Torque CompoundGear Motor at the aspects of operation principle, instantaneous torque and its pulsation, gear modification, radial force, and volumetric efficiency etc.The paper takes the compound gear motor with 3 idlers as example for study, which combines the principle of common gear motor with planetary theory. Its ingenious structure solves the problems due to the non-balance radical pressure on gears, and this is one of its outstanding merits. Another merit of the new type of gear motor is its lower torque pulsation.By the analysis of the mechanics conditions on the gears in Compound Gear Motor , the formula of the instantaneous radial forces acting on all gears and seal block are obtained. After the study on the leakage inside of Compound Gear Motor, and then calculated the leakage. The math formula of the gear profile curve on Compound Gear Motor is established, which can be used as the math basis for the three-dimesional modeling of the gear and the computer-simulation.Through analyzing the instantaneous torque and its pulsation, the author draws a conclusion that the torque pulsation of compound gear motor is lowest when Z, = 3k1 +1, Z2 = 2k2 .Moreover, in order to testify and perfect the theory of compound gear motor, the author designs and makes a compound gear motor for experiment. After analyzing the experiment data, he draws conclusions consisting with the theory that the torque pulsation of compound gear motor is much better than that of common gear motor, the results will supply references to form series product in the future.
