As a common hydraulic equpment, the gear pump is widely used in the field of paint spray, medicine and petrochemical industry to control the flow of liquids. But due to indifferent precision and stability of ordinary gear pump, during use there are usually some problems, such as excessively high flow, pressure pulse and noise, serious leakage and uncontrollable discharge. Consequently, in this paper the parameter design method, the key manufacturing technology and the performance test for gear pump are studied in order to improve its workability, and the works are of certain academic and practical importance. The main work of this thesis can be summarized as follows:After conculation, the relationship between pump flow and basic parameter of gear, and the correlativity between leakage and radial clearance of gear pump are deduced. On these bases, the solid model of gear pump with the flow quantity of 3ml/r,5ml/r and 10ml/r are built by means of parameter design method.18CrNiMo and 45# steel are used to make of gear pump and main shaft respectively and then their treatment processibility are analyzed. Subsequently the manufacture processes for a pair of gears, the key part of gear pump, is researched and a set of intact processing technology scheme for the gear pair is carried out.The experimental platform for the flow of gear pump is set up to achieve precise control to folw. After a series of experiments, the regularly influences of axial and radial clearance of gear pump on the flow changes under the working rotation speed are discussed. Moreover the influence between practical flow and theoretic flow of gear pump are analyzed with different oil viscosities and gear clearances.
