An open automation system needs an open layered control and information processing flat. Today railroad marshalling yard is working more and more automatically. Comprehensive automation of braking train system is imperative under the situation. Therefore, we design and develop the long-distance management control system of braking train based on the DeviceNet in marshalling yard. Layer of control consist of the local equipment (sensor, limited switch and so on) and programmer logical controller (the DeviceNet pitch point). The information processing flat is composed of PC and management control software system. This design mainly develops the information processing flat. It involves the design of touch panel at the peak tail, the long-distance fiber communication, hostlink protocol and the management control software of braking train system.The long-distance management control software of braking train system is installed in hump host PC which has the highest jurisdiction. It realizes long-distance control and querying the state of braking train devices and automatic turning shoes decices, monitor and alarm of braking process in peak tail, data backup of rail line operation. It builds software flat of automatic braking in marshalling yard. Applying optical fibe and its interface converters, long-distance communication between hump and peak tail come ture. Touch panel at peak tail has partial monitor function of host PC. It not only suits control and opration at peak tail, but also adapts to small marshalling yard without hump.The purpose of this system is realizing long-distance automatic control of braking train in peak tail. It has important significance for realizing braking train automatization, ensuring rail working security, improving organizing into group efficiency, enforcing transport capability, reducing manual work, decreasing accident.
