| Along with the urbanization and modernization development, facilities serving for family agriculture productions and daily social activities in townships are experiencing the new dilemma in terms of developments and resource distributions. Distribution of facilities has significant influences on developing patterns of rural residential communities as well as population migrations, which changes the spatial configuration of communities consequently. In the situation of building new socialistic country, the proper physical distribution pattern of the facilities is the critical determent of the sustainable development in townships.Based on the sustainable development principle, this study firstly clarifies the definition of the facilities in townships by a case study in Xiangqiao, Lintong County, City of Xi'an. This study has an integrative understanding of the current situations and problems of infrastructure facility distribution in Xiangqiao and its surrounding area. Accordingly suggest a "transformation - polarization - reconfiguration" developing trend of the spatial distribution structure according to the statistics analysis. Secondly, this article reveals the primary internal and external causations of changes in the context of government regulations, social environment and economy development. Thirdly, through analyzing the counter forces of the facilities, this article also suggest that acilities is the basic platform of this small town's development, can improve the magnetism of a small town to populate, financing, industry and so on, and the various forms of spatial distribution of acilities can accelerate the reconstruction of a village. Finally, this article brings forward a set of planning strategies, such as "City and village should act with each other and develop together. Certain villages should be arranged rationally and selected as mass residential area to achieve a balanced development. We should create centralizing conditions, limit developing conditions and protect existing conditions. Glebe should be intensive cultivated and deserted glebe should be reclaimed. The economical run of facilities demands some population dimensions." By theseways, this article tries to reshape the spatial patterns of the acilities according to sustainable development principles. |
