Studies On Urban Design Of Zhaoqing City's Waterfront

Urban waterfront is an important part of city. In recent years, more and more people and more and more country are interesting in landscape architecture design of urban waterfront. There are a lot of advantages and problems in this developmental upsurge. The design of urban waterfront can't rest on the lay of part planning, it should be improved to the study of the urban design, so the urban design of waterfront is important for the construction of waterfront. For the actuality of study, how to combine with local development actuality, and setting up a suit of pattern for the urban design of waterfront which is greater maneuverability than before, is an imperative task for study currently.The basic urban design theories are discussed from Sciences of Human Settlements, Geography, Architecture and Aesthetics, and theories of waterfront urban design are mentioned from theories, then related important points of waterfront urban design are concluded. Combined with the points and successful experience on waterfront urban design home and abroad, the theories and methods of waterfront urban design are studied from city, urban waterfront and important place which make of 3 layers of design. So a suit of pattern for the urban design of waterfront are put forward: constructing harmonious relationship for urban waterfront and the city's whole space structure;figuring the whole perfect image of urban waterfront;establishing of landscape of waterfront point district.Though the spot investigation, aimed at Zhaoqing city's special natural space structure(mountain, lake, city, river) and city culture, combined with the suit of pattern for the urban design of waterfront, some detailed methods of Zhaoqing City's waterfront urban design are discussed. It's divided into Zhaoqing City's waterfront whole design;the whole figure design of Xijiang river linearity shape's waterfront and Xinghu lake island shape's waterfront;the landscape design of point district. At the base of these, ZhaoqingCity's water culture is constructed. At last, the urban design methods of Zhaoqing City's waterfront is summed up for urban design of other cities' waterfront.
