The concrete strength determination has been the most important aspect during the construction and quality evaluation of the building. The ultrasonic velocity can be used to deduce the concrete strength based on the highly-relationship between the compressive concrete strength and the ultrasonic velocity.Two kinds of methods have been applied in real engineering works: direct-penetration method and single plane method. Among them the direct-penetration method sensitive highly, finding range clearly and the precision is good, it is a commonsense method. And forefathers have already come back to summarize a set of reliable concrete to examine the strong empirical formula, can utilize to examine velocity of sound value infer, produce strength of concrete. But under only one situation that can examine the single plane of the building of structural concrete, only the single plane method can be adopted. At the same concrete component, the velocity of sound measure value different, it cannot be used to deduce the concrete strength directly.It was difficult to measure the sound velocity by ultrasonic penetration testing in engineering sometimes, while the concrete strength determined with the velocity obtained by plane testing was not accurate. The velocity ratio of the two testing methods was given by experiment. The corrected velocity of plane testing could be used to determine concrete strength and the problem in engineering application was thus solved.
