| Recently, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has become an important method to provide financial service for the bank's customer as a convenient tool. ATM distributed point and management level owned bank is related to degree of bank's automation and to bank itself whether it is able to compete in the same trade. Therefore, bank hope to develop ATM of their own rapidly now, and improve its management level of informatization constantly, in order to serve customer better. But Automated Teller Machine Client (ATMC) software has many disadvantages on the market at present. Firstly, ATMC software can support device type single. Some only support one brand, others only support one type of one brand. Secondly, Operating conditions of ATMC software are complex and multiplex. Some run on OS2 system of IBM, others run on WINDOWS system. Under such circumstances, there are new problems arising from them, which the function of ATMC software is difficult to extend and the system of ATMC software is difficult to maintain.Therefore, WOSA/XFS standard emerges as the times require. Windows Open Services Architecture, Extensions for Financial Services (WOSA/XFS) is an access specification based on application of WINDOWS to financial equipment by Bank Solution Provider Institution published on May 24, 1993. WOSA/XFS2.0 standard is published on February 11, 1996. At present, XFS standard has been accepted by large producers, not only including ATM manufacturers, but also other financial terminal.I participated in and developed the financial self-service equipment cross platform software based on WOSA/XFS standard and .Net platform. The software can settle the state that multi-manufacturer, multi-brand, multi-model's question. This paper elaborated the development content of cross platform software under WOSA/ XFS standard in detail, as well as my question and solution which meet in the development process. Meanwhile paper compared our software with the same platform on the market and had a full-scale analysis. Finally the test in the Beijing CEB bank bidding project indicated that our developed the cross platform software system is stable and compatible and new ATMC software, and is able to meet thebusiness demand of the bank in the future.There are six chapters in this dissertation. Chapter One is an introduction to the source and background of the system. Chapter Two introduces the design thought of system developed and standard. Chapter Three describes the every level of this system. In chapter Four, the ActiveX ocx of printer in detail is described. Chapter Five discusses the main technology of system.
