Along with the accelerating process of economic globalization, our reliance on international energy and raw material market deepens continually, the constant soaring of price on international crude oil and industrial raw material, which results in great burden to our country's economic development, car, as a fuel consumption vehicle, whether it's save or not has directly affected the whole energy-consumption level, our country attaches great importance to it. Because of its great significance, car manufacturers all over the world try their best to lighten the weight of car, the technique of light-weight design has became a hot topic in the research field.The frame, as a most important part of carrier car, supports some accessories such as engine, clutch, gearbox, diverter, and withstands all kinds of force. In addition, the exploitation condition of carrier car is extremely bad, and stress condition is also complex, the frame should have enough rigidity, so as to keep the related positions of some parts unchange while the car goes;There also should be enough intensity in the frame, so as to ensure its enough reliability and life-span, frame rigidity not only causes vibration and noise while being insufficient, but also makes the comfortableness of driving, stability of operation, reliability of some parts decline too. But the torsional rigidity of frame should not too big, otherwise it makes the load of the frame and hanging system enlarge. Therefore, how to design the light-weight frame that meet usage requirements becomes a challenging job.FEA, compared with traditional methods, has became an important tool in modem automobile design, its advantage lies in improving the quality of car products, reducing the cost of product-developing and production, and increasing the competition of car products in the market. In order to improve the level of frame designation, guarantee the competitive ability of the entire vehicle in the market, we must heighten the FEA technique of the frame to a strategic level.This article, based on ANSYS software, has set up the entity unit model of the frame structure, and made a research on static and dynamic analysis. First of all, this thesis give a brief introduction to ANSYS and make a preparation for FEA analysis of frame structure;Secondly, it took some carrier car frame structure as research object, established the entity unit model by using ANSYS, and made a research on the frame modeling process;Thirdly, it carries on further investigation on static and dynamic analysis, and performance analysis to the car frame;Finally, it makes a preliminary discussion for the light-weight of frame structure by setting up a unit model with a simple structure and using ANSYS optimized model.Herein the research of FEA and ANSYS software offers a set of basic theory and method for the frame structure and simulation of dynamic characteristic. It has a very important project value in light-weight designation of the frame structure with the aid of them.
