In recent years, the failure of valve has already become the malignant malfunctions of the engine. The valve unit is a part of valve engine, which plays an important role as the engine works. The valve is a functional part of the gas engine which completes working circulation and realizes ventilation and sealed. In the working, the valve endures not only high-frequency impact, changed stress and pull, but also high temperature corrosion, high-speed gas striking. Under these bad working conditions, once the malfunctions of the individual valve have occurred, the no serious must repair, contrarily must replace new machine. It not only seriously harms user's benefit, but also brings loss to the factory in the economy and the credit standing. The statistical data indicates that the reasons causing the failure of engine due to the quality of valve are above 50 percent of all. Therefore, this dissertation applies Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to design, process and manufacture valve products. The research can discover deficiencies in the design or manufacture at initial stage, come up with improvement strategies, shorten the development time, and reduce the project cost, lower risk after releasing product into the market. Main contents of this dissertation are summarized as follows:1) Proposed the automatically framework model of technologic FMEA valve by making further research of processes and geometric model of valve, analyzing reasons and effects of the failures of valve.2) In FMEA system, FMEA needs multiplicity data, and in order to reduce the artificial fault and reduce burden of designs person, and enhances the working efficiency. Interfaced according to Rule-based Mechanism generated FMEA automatically by integrating FMEA and CAPP database and connecting FMEA and 3D CAD data.3) Collected real-time data by establishing a three-tier database system whichmapping data relating to FMEA of different stage to the database.4) Developed the system of process FMEA (P-FMEA) based on developing Microsoft Word on the platform of C#.net and SQL Server 2000 with the Object Oriented technology.
