| With the rapid increase of electric loads,especially those asymmetrical,impacting and nonlinear ones,there have been more and more serious problems in power quality.On the other hand, higher power quality for more and more sensitive loads is needed with the development of information technology.The definition, categories and influence to sensitive loads are outlined in this paper. According to the national standards for power quality, the measurement principles and computing methods are also summarized. The above work forms the theoretical basis of developing power quality analyzer.The application of fast Fourier transform and discrete wavelet transform have been studied in this paper. Fourier transform has the advantage of accurate resolution in frequency domain, and wavelet transform has the good property to locate the point of power quality disturbance. In order to solve practical problems an approach is presented to analyze the signal of power quality on the basis of Fourier transform and wavelet transform. The systems solutions of the power quality monitoring equipment based on DSP is designed. The new integrated MATLAB-DSP approach of design is used to verify the performance of algorithm on MATLAB and CCS platform.Finally the future of the power quality monitoring research is also prospected. |
