As we know, traffic in most of big city is very crowd. More and more people consider using underground as a traffic way. If we selected constructing the tunnel instead of road, it would reduce the land occupancy and traffic accidents, and promote traffic improvement. The tunnel fires will not only happen by very frequency, but also the scales of fire also are very large, which can cause interrupted traffic for a long time. So, the research about fireproofing coating of tunnel has a very great society and economy value. This paper investigated the prescription of tunnel fireproofing coating by contrasting experimentation and orthogonal experiment. Then, the function of the matrix, dispersant, vesicant material and compound filling in coating produce was discussed by test result. This works study the property of composite, stick agents and dispersant, provide 11 methods of producing fireproofing coating, describe the coating's test method, and analyze the test results. The fire resistance endurance of the 11th tunnel fireproofing coating is 3.5h with 13mm thick according to ISO 834 standard, and 3h with 20mm thick according to C-H temperature-time curve. The test result of the 11th coating is better than other same coatings after checking the data of all tunnel fireproofing coatings. Very good fire resistance endurance, economy, non-pollution, easy constructing and maintaining are this coating's characters.The vesicant material is the most key factor for the performance of the 11th coating, and then, the next is based matrix. If the dosage of based matrix is definite, increasing the dosage of vesicant material, compound material or additive will improve the fire endurance of the produced material. And, the most key which can determine the adhesive strength of coating is the based matrix, and then, the next is compound filling.In order to make the toxicity of coating achieves AQ-1 grade, the dosage of vesicant material must less than 10%. If the amount of vinyl acetate latex is 1%, it will effectively improve the adhesive strength of produced coating. Lastly, the fire-endurance mechanism of tunnel fire-protection coating was analyzed in physics and chemistry function. And the optimum production and construction techniques are also put forward.
