With the quality of life of Chinese has being improved day by day, traditional building gas terminal supply mode can't satisfy the demand of both the consumers and gas companies. More new gas supply modes come forth. The most typical one is the PAP–outdoor meter box system. But there is no uniform criterion for them. In order to solve this problem,to understand the difference between the two building gas supply terminal system which are traditional galvanized pipe building gas terminal supply system and PAP–outdoor meter box system is prerequisite. So they are compared roundly. The work contains the several aspects as followed. According to the new edition of code for design of gas engineering's request for hydraulic calculation, the hydraulic performance index——calculated pressure drop,fluctuate range of pressure of the gas supply,applicability for heavier load are compared. In the contrast of economic results, the dynamic index is used for the more good accuracy. Abased the detailed investigation, the two system are compared in technology of construction and daily application. Finally, for the application on high-rise building, assumptive and analysis are conducted. So the conclusion is brought forward for reference.
