In order to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the test process of the operation controller of the vehicle suspension system. According to the test requirements of the operation controller, the research of the vehicle suspension system dynamic simulating test platform based on embedded real-time operation system VxWorks was proposed. With the advantage of VxWorks' characteristics: high reliability and real time, by simulating the vehicle all actual operation to test the operation controller of the vehicle suspension system and completely satisfies the entire vehicle's technique standards was realized.The dynamic simulating test platform for the vehicle suspension system was taken as the application example, the application development of embedded real-time operation system VxWorks was detailedly and thoroughly discussed, the system structure, the characteristic and the real-time kernel of VxWorks, the composition and the characteristic of VxWorks' integrated development environment-Tornado, VxWorks' universal graphics library-WindML and its composition were introduced. In this foundation, the system constitution and the hardware collocation of dynamic simulating test platform, and the application procedure design methods based on VxWorks were elaborated. Firstly, VxWorks' overlapping debug and design environment is established, and the periphery equipments' driver is designed and loaded. Secondly, in the process of application procedure design, the design ways of VxWorks' graphic interface, and the detailed process of developing the human-machine interface of the test platform with the advantage of WindML is elaborated. Finally, according to the standard operation process of the operation controller of the vehicle suspension system, the operation controller's various output operation are monitored and analyzed, and the entire test process is demonstrated on human-machine interface.
