Study Of The Space Environment Issues In Hangzhou Old Urban District Based On The Idea Of Leisure City

Based on the idea of forming Leisure City, the paper takes old urban district as the object of the study and points out that maturity is the characteristic of the space environment. Then the paper takes up its three representations which are linkage of the culture, stabilization of the physical form, complexity of the function. After that, the paper analyses the seven factors of the space environment in old urban district of Hangzhou, affirms its superiority and points out its shortcomings as well. Aiming at those shortcomings, the paper sums up four aspects and expound their phenomena with reasons. And then the paper emphasizes that it's very important to maintain the maturity of the old urban district. Finally, the paper points out the prerequisites and keys for further development of space environment in old urban district of Hangzhou, and also discusses some strategies which could be use.
