Research On The Development Of Waterfront Leisure Space In Hangzhou

In recent years,"Three Water" in Hangzhou, which include Hangzhou West Lake, Xixi Wetland,Grand Canal (Hangzhou section), were introduced as the three major tourism brands to theworld.West Lake applied for World Heritage successfully,as well as World Leisure Expo localed inHangzhou,which have played an excellent role in the built of "International Leisure City" forHangzhou. Through researches and summarizes the waterfront leisure space of Hangzhou "ThreeWater", this article gives some revelations of the built of "International Leisure City" for Hangzhou,aswell as the construction of waterfront area projects which is ongoing.This article takes the West Lake, Xixi Wetland National Park, the Beijing-Hangzhou GrandCanal (Hangzhou section) as the object of study, research the waterfront leisure space of three formsof water through literature review, interdisciplinary methods and so on.At first the paper studied thetraditional waterfront leisure space and leisure activity types of Hangzhou; Then undertook thedevelopment course and water culture of "three water" of Hangzhou, focusing on the waterfrontleisure space types and characteristics; Third, summarize the essential factors design method ofwaterfront leisure space, and cited foreign typical case to undertake contrast, explore the existingproblems of "three water" of Hangzhou,then gives optimization strategies, and analysis through theauthor's practice cases.Through the discussion on the theory and practice, the article concluded that the West Lakecontains four kinds of leisure space: Bridge leisure space, leisure space in the water,leisure space nextto the water,leisure space near the water, Xixi wetland and the canal contain three kinds of leisurespace:point,line,plane leisure space,and summarizes the main leisure activities in various types ofspace.
