The paper introduces the structure of the DC600V Power -Supply in SS9 locomotive. In order to keep these power supplies in a good condition, the DC600V locomotive power testing equipment has been designed, which had great importance to the maintenance of locomotive power supply.Firstly, the load circuit of the DC600V Power-Supply compositive test equipment is built. To meet requires of the test operation, the right test circuit and the suitable circuit parameters are chosen. It has the advantages of simple, stable, easy to use. The loads can be add or get off by manual or computer control.Different load experiments are used to test the quality of the locomotive power supply. In each experiment, the current, voltage and p-p voltage value need to be acquired and different circuits are designed to meet these require.Because the computer control is used, the analog signals input and output channels, the switch signals input channels and output channels are designed. The control software is designed by using LabWindows/CVI.Finally, the test device has applied in the field, it can measure DC600V Power-Supply parameters exactly and give the quality of the power supply.
