The integration of gear design and modeling is a precedent in software development.This paper played more emphasis on gear design and gear modeling. The portion of gear design was the leader of modeling and was made by Visual C++ 6.0. It deals with many diagrams and tables by uses Access 2002, a software for database management. Much data used in gear design were inputed in a database. This makes the calculating become simple and possible. The process of calculating becomes simply by using computer.Precise gear model was produced in the second part.it was developed by Visual C++6.0 based on 3D CAD software SolidWorks. This part of the software includes system interface modular, gear profile calculating modular, structure solid generating modular and gear profile generating modular. VC++ can communicate with SolidWorks by the technology of COM. Gear profile was drawn accurately according to involute equation and dedendum intermediate equation.
