Being infrastructure, power line network distributing everywhere. Now it has been considered that using power line to communicate data has great potential. In fact, power line used in lower speed data communications such as relay protection using power line, telecontrol information, SCADA, voice communications and power scheme has a history of several years. Developing broadband service base on power line network is the most convenient, economical and fast method to Combine power system with information. Thus, the power line network distributing every house can offer the multiple broadband service communicating voice, video, data.In this dissertation, the principle of the PLC (Power line communication) is introduced. The characters of the power line signal channel are analyzed, the model of the PLC signal channel based on OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) is analyzed, which has been predigested reasonably at the same time. Spread Spectrum and OFDM are compared. The principle and the key technical are analyzed in deep. PAPR a key problem of OFDM is emphasized and researched. The problem of PAPR is blocking OFDM into applications, which decides the hard degree to design the hardware of the PLC. Through comparing the effect and application condition of several PLC scheme, a ideal scheme is selected. The selected scheme is optimized and simulated. Thus, the most suitable scheme to decrease the PAPR of the PLC is get.
