Steel staggered truss system have a good performance in earthquake, but because there are little study of its seismic performance, there has no engineering applications in our country. The combination of study of "Development of Application Technology of Staggered Truss System " and the throughout study of specimen model is carried out firstly in our country in this paper. The selection of this subjects have a great theoretical significance and academic value.Based on the pilot cycle-loading experimental need of this new type structure of the project, one-third specimen model of five story mixed staggered truss structures is designed during this paper according to similar theory and relevant normative codes, including structural design , node design and the mapping of the test. Then it is analyzed by finite element program ANSYS, in which adopt shell181 modules and take into material nonlinear and geometric nonlinear account, and then elastic-plastic analysis is carried out, in which the stress-strain distribution law , load and deformation patterns in different stage loading history is got.According to the results of the finite element analysis, the experimental plan of specimen is developed which include loading history and layout of stain. It can lay a good foundation and provide important basis for the latter work of testing.
