With the development of economy and social, as an ancient and traditional transport mode, inland waterway transport has been demonstrating more and more advantages in environmental protection, sustainable development and the improvement of people's life. It is decisive effect for the navigational boom in Ningbo City to renovate the waterway and increase its capacity, and to make the perfect to the inland waterway network. "Selecting the navigational route" in the second channel engineering beteween Yao Jiang River and Yong Jiang River in Hangyong Canal were studied and discussed in the dissertation, combined with the waterway alteration engineering at Ningbo part of Hangyong Canal.The inland waterway transportation conditions and development scheme of Ningbo City, the natural conditions and exotic environment in the Ningbo part of the Hangyong Canal were analyzed and studied, and the engineering construction conditions of the second channel engineering between Yao Jang and Yong Jang was commented. The construction scale and standard were recommended based on the prediction of cargo transport and design ship type. Then the main factors influencing the waterway route was analyzed, and the recommended plan was presented after the three feasible waterway route plans were analyzed and comprehensively evaluated. So it provided the more important references about the second channel engineering beteween Yao Jiang River and Yong Jiang River for the Ningbo authority, and it must make great influence for the engineering.
