The rapid development of the information technology provide powerful technical basis for the further development of Hydraulic Engineering. With the increased application of computer in Hydraulic engineering field and development hardware technology, mass data occurred in the project. How to choose useful information from the mass data has become an important problem facing Hydraulic Engineering field. Visual technology is the powerful tool to solve these problems. With the development of the modern visualization, Visualization has widely used in the field of topography simulation, three-dimension flow revelation, construction schedule and earth and gravel excavation projects.The main content of this paper is to describe the vision of river way terrain and flow by using visualization method, including the related searching function of flood alarm system. By integrating the project and and the current visualization system, this paper focus on the visualization realization of the effect of bridge on the river way flood discharge. Taking into the consideration of river way data and transplantation, this system realized the reading of the project date by using dialog. With OOP ( Object Oriented Programming) as its technology basis, with Visual C++ 6.0 as its development tool, it realized the visualization revelation of the effect of bridge on river way flood discharge by using data-base of OpenGL and its perfect facticity revelation.One charactistics of the visualization system is to control the revelation of the picture. The system has formed shift, circumrotation and zoom kinds so that the user can exactly control the view revelation. The system set up the flood data and river way dyke DEM( Digital Elevation Mode) judge function in the food alarm model. Also the turn-color alert line is used to make the level of where the flood surpass the dyke. Parameterized setting of the related programme can carry food alarm on multi-flood data;In order to exactly realize the certain flood position, some related searching functions are added in to the system. The visualization system discussed in this paper has certain reference and application value for the flood alarm and forecast. The visualization evaluation system studied in this paper has reference and application value for the decision-makers in their bridge construction and flood preventing evaluation.
