Since the Suzhou industrial park put start into practice from May, 1994, 11 years' developments have made it be a new modern international district at the beginning of today,and be a new and high technology industrial park who has the most international competition ability in china.The achievement of the park speak volumes for the leading effect of urban planning in the process of development.Urban planning can guide the park area according to the target of the modernization industrial park, developments of the high standard, high quantity. The total city planning set out the consideration the development of whole city with the angle of the overall situation from the district,and arrange all parts of developments of the district.And besides,urban design link urban planning and architcet designning together.Also,there is welly control in the process of actualize.Because there is urban design after detailed planning in the development of central business district in first district of suzhou Industrial park, the study choose this district as research object.Though the means of observing, visiting, questionnaire, data processing,date analysis ,ect,with the combination of cultural heritage collections and background knowledge stores,the thesis summarize and analyse the result of urban design in this district.Also, the thesis has proceed to follow to the actual development results with study.At last, the thesis has found some questions in the process,and analyse it and put forward the direction that considers with enlighten.Though the research for urban design and design control of central business district in first district of Suzhou industrial park, it is better to promote the urban design's fulfillment in that district.And the study can be the cushion of perfect this district in conduct and development from which the other urban design practices of the same type can draw lessons.
