A new kind of virtual machining simulation system based on finite element method is putted forward and the software system is developed in this paper. Regarding key componets of a plane radar as the object, it is verified that the simulation system can effective predict the machining errors. The research content in this paper has important value to the application of virtual manufacture and improving the technology level of manufacture.Since the machining errors mainly caused by deformation of cutter and workpiece, we mainly deal with the machining simulation and errors prediction under the influence of cutting force. We deduced its milling force model and developed the program to calculate the dynamic milling force. The force value got from program is used as the load of FEA. Parameterized FEM is used to analyze the deformation caused by force of parts and tool cutter. The material removal simulation is achieved by handling the result data of finite element modeling to develop Boolean operation. Combining with the machining errors analysis study, we developed the machining simulation system. Lastly, the system is tested by experiment.
