The synopsis of Boolean operation's research status quo is offered, and a Boolean operation algorithm based on inner point recognition on the basis of Wu Yunxing's edge recognition is put forward. So-called inner point means that one point is located in a certain ring but not in the inclusive ring of this ring. Inner point recognition, namely, that every edge whether it belongs to result edge is recognized through inner point on the basis of inner and outer edges recognition. Thus every edge virtually is looked on as a single whole not as discrete line segment. So this algorithm can be used in FDM support generation algorithm which exists a lot of special situation as long as superposition lines are managed specially during the pretreatment.During the course of slicing on STL entity model the 2-d contour rings is likely to appear intersecting instance (especially STL files generated from CATIA software). Further more, this kind of circumstance can't be corrected in 3-d state. Therefore this error must be corrected in 2-d state. Aiming at this instance a correct algorithm based on 2-d Boolean operation is put forward to correct STL entity model slice. In the practical manufacture of rapid prototyping some huge parts, thin wall parts and parts which have spindly bulge must be divided to manufacture. This task realizes part's 2-d division and adds proper orientation pin and orientation hole in order to felt these parts to form whole part after manufacture. This article also computes STL model volume and research simply model complexity. Finally, the research work is summarized and prospect to further study is given.
