High slope is very common in such projects as mining engineering, communication engineering, transportation engineering, hydraulic engineering and national defence engineering etc. Its stability has an important influence on those engineering projects. Instability of slopes due to natural actions and human activities has resulted in huge loss. Therefore, the preventive technique of slopes has attracted more and more concern. Now, the slope geohazard has already been regarded as the three main geohazards with the earthquake and the volcanic and many studies and preventive technique have been carried out and many resources provided by national and local governments.With the development of our national economics and the construction of our highway networks, high slops in city areas will become more and more intense in slope engineering. Therefore, according to the characteristics of high slopes in city areas, further investigation of the mechanism and preventive technique of high slopes in city areas are becoming important to both theory and reality.Based on the engineering project of Shenzhen Polytechnic's high rock slope and the prestressed anchorage technology, which is widely used in high rock slope stabilization, the thesis has not only studied and analyzed the important links in the course of high rock slope prevention such as controlled blasting, anchorage construction, safety management ect., but also put forward some safe and efficient construction and management methods. Such study has obtained both technical and economical benefits in practical applications. Furthermore, it has also made a very good reference to the prevention of other high rock slopes in city areas.
