The automatization of power plants has gotten large scale enhancement because of the widespread applications of Distributed Control System (DCS). What's more, higher requests for the operators are produced. As a result, the simulation systems of power plants have obtained great development. But the traditional simulation systems are neither easy to understand nor true to life in the following aspects: first, the principle of traditional simulation is based on advanced language; second, the HMI is developed by the simulation company, so there is big difference with the actual HMI; at last, there is mutually independence between simulation company and the DCS company because the simulation company can't obtain the control strategy of DCS usually. According to the requirement of the simulation systems for power plants, this paper proposes a new simulation method based on the configuration software PineCAD. And this method is applied to the 1150t/h boiler of 1#unit in Fuzhou power plant of Huaneng Inc by simulating. This paper has carried on the research of the feasibility of the simulation system by the analysis of the principle of new configuration software PineCAD and its application in the solution of super mathematics equations. Based on the introduction of the hardware and software structure of the system, this paper has explained the integrative design thought of logical control stations and the models for simulation: using configuration software to complete the configuration of the models. This paper has carried on the research of models in lumped parameter form and thermal engineering fluid network based on the principle of the configuration of models. Meantime, the paper has gone along with the research of modularization modeling method. Moreover, it has carried through the research of the fidelity and the control effect of the system by the simulation analysis of some parameters. In order to analyze the impact to the system, which is brought on by the undulation of the import, the paper has carried on the simulation research when the undulation of import is taken place. At last, the paper has carried through the simulation research when the malfunction is taken place. And the result indicates that the system has very good effect. In conclusion, the system has great value for application. In a word, the system can break through the disfigurement successfully, which is taken place by the traditional simulation system on account of the fact that the traditional simulation systems are based on advanced language. As a result, the system can not only reduce labor intensity of the researchers and shorten the development cycle greatly, but also the operators can perfect the system according to their own experience. What's more, the simulation system makes the research of advanced control strategy for power plants be possible.
