Along with the need of electric power unceasingly increasing in the social production and daily life, the request for the electrical power system stability is more and more strict than before. It is concerned about how to stably supply the electric power by the electric power department. Besides the need of high reliable hardware equipments and powerful software, it also needs that the staffs have the proficient operation skill and have the ability to quickly settle the accidents. Therefore the simulation technology becomes more and more important in the electrical power system. By using the simulator, the electric management system operators could be trained and the technicians have an approach to study the equipment control logic. It is significative for us to study simulation research on the generator unit. Based on the practicability and the stability, through consulting reference books and the running data about the power plant, combining the method used in the practical project research, I have finished the generator unit digital model establishment. This model is constituted by three parts: the generator-transformer system model, the synchronous switching system model and the power-network control system model. These three parts are linked with the electric system control logic and the man-machine interfaces which are used in the power plant operation. They get together to constitute the generator unit simulator. Its simulation scope includes: 1,Including the situations of the generator start-up/stop, normal running and breakdown, it can accord to the request to adjust the reactive power. 2,current and voltage in the excitation system, and the adjustment of trigger angle of SCR rectifier. 3,the unit synchronous switching system including related switches on or off, interlock and the protection. 4,the related switches on or off, interlock and the protection used in the plant power when the unit start-up or stop. The simulation system research is based on the platform named PineCAD which is a control configuration software used in the DCS. This is a relative new method which is not often used in the domestic simulator research. Compared with the traditional simulations, this simulation has more traits than them, such as simple logical programming, direct-viewing the data and the curves, easily change or debug, and so on. It will have some preponderance in the simulation. This paper has made some innovative research about the simulation system based on the control configuration software and the digital model foundation and optimize of the thermoelectricity generator unit . The object of this simulator is a 350MW thermo electricity generation unit of Huaneng FuZhou Power Plant. Based on the unit equipments relative characteristic curves and parameters,I/O list about DCS which are provided by the plant, we carry out the unit model design. Through comparing between the simulative data and the practical running data, testing by the electric engineers, the model could satisfy the request of the precision in simulation. If we link three groups of simulator about the generator, the boiler and the steam turbine together, we will constitute the power generating system simulator. Through linking together to run and the parameter adjustment, perfecting the models, the system has obtained the good simulation effect. Now the simulation system could be gave to the power plant to train the staffs basic operation. But it is still required to make the improvement and update, so its functions will be more perfect.
