The Space Syntax Research On Inhabitation Environment Of Traditional Settlement

The urban planning programs in our country were seldom considered from the perspectives of the culture, the environment, and the ecology. Broadly speaking, people's humanism idea, even the youngest generation, is still weak, and the understanding of the harmony between people and the environment space is quite insufficient. My research paper focuses on the studies of both Hangzhou WestLake scenic spot and the Sanmen County. I do these space syntax analysis based on the foundation of the vegetation diversity of WestLake scenic spot and the intrinsic ecology principles of the configuration of natural landscape (mainly of the mountain body), according to the concept of multifunctional landscape, following the directions of landscape ecology theory, applying the ideas of landscape philosophy, landscape planning method, and with the thought of shape index computation, entropy value quantification, landscape simulation. Furthermore, I make analysis of Fengshui theory according to the selected locations of settlement. Finally, combining the correlation data of the traditional settlement distributions, I did a comparison research to develop the bond between the landscape spatial structure and the environment occupied by people, trying to figure out the internal principles of people's settlement selection. Synthesizing the research results about the human nature housing space from our laboratory, I dedicate myself to further improve the related theories of our country's living environment and mass construction.
