With the rapid development of computer, the Finite Element Method(FEM) becoming more and more important in engineering technology. Finite Element Analysis Method (FEAM) is now used most popularly in computer aid engineering (CAE). But it has not without shortcomings. Meshless methods are a type of new numerical analysis method. As an important complement and development of modern numerical analysis methods, forward processing of some engineering problems and computation analysis of crack extension are simplified greatly by meshless methods. Meshless methods are developed rapidly and have obtained much attention in the field of international computation mechanics recently. In this thesis, a simplified two-dimensional implementation of Arch Dam in linear elastics is described. Results are calculated with the method and the aid of a two-dimensional MATLAB the Element Free Galerkin(EFG) program, this program used to solve exactly a cantilever beam of problem. In this thesis, based on arch axis of arch dam supported load, Least-square method, an optimum method is compared and used to exam optimal arch axis. This analysis method is an important development and complement of modern numerical analysis methods on the design of arch dam, example analysis of engineering problem was presented to test and assess the function of the system and came out a good result. So using finite its numerical method to realize the numerical analysis analog of composite has great directive significance to optimum design and safety production.
