High-rise Apartment For The Aged In Big Cities

Aging process of population is the inevitable result of human society developing, and lots of countries in the world, including our country, have come into the aging societies. Population aging process must will be one of the focuses of every country of the world.House for the aged is one of the challenges which come with population aging process together. At present, more and more old people choose to live in the apartment for the aged. Armed with the method of combining theory with practice, this paper takes the apartment for the aged in big city as the subject of researching, proves the necessity of high-rise apartment for the aged in big city, and discusses the designing method of it.The whole thesis is divided into six chapters. Chapter 1 mainly introduces the aging process of population and the construction surveys of apartment for the aged; the second chapter studies the physiological and psychological characteristic of elderly persons; in chapter 3, the author answers the question why the apartment for the aged should be situated at downtown area and in the form of high-rise building; chapter 4 and chapter 5 discuss respectively the architecture and outdoor environment design of high-rise apartment for the aged; in chapter 6, the author ,through two conception plans, demonstrates to the readers how to avoid the hostile influence of high-rise building to old persons in the way of multi-storeyed high-rise apartment for the aged.
