Industry architecture had developed new architectural aesthetics, and its artistic character owned feature with time, vanguard and nature, though it has always been ignored while we talk about architecture. It is important for architecture to review the artistic character and its development of industry architecture and to probe into its vanguard character. It also has realistic effect to the emerging direction of new art in the information society and innovation by architects in the new term. By reading a lot of theory books, literature materials and utilizing Internet, I reflect on the artistic character of industry architecture deeply. Starting with the relation between social taste and architecture, this article expatiates the original artistic character of industry architecture, concludes the artistic feature in different period, and its times background, developing skeleton and character of vanguard. This article also explains and analyses it with a great deal of instances. On the base of this, it expounds the effect on architecture by digital technique and information technique, forecasts the artistic character of architecture in information times.
