The Historical Change Of Architecture Design In The Process Of Information Society

Information society is not only a conceptual category of technology, but also a kind of caultural phenomenon. The development of information technology (IT) and the consequent digital life style lead to great changes of architecutres and urban sapce where we live. At the meantime, the design method and the thinking manner of Architects have been altered gradually besides the design tools, with the introduction of IT into architecutre design.Based on the analysis of the background of technology and social culture, the author expounds the variations of the solid and space of architecture, the reform of the urban sapce, and then, the different applications of IT to architecture design and great influence of new design media and discipline on design paradigm. Didital media is as not only a new design tool, but also a new design and research method. In the end, based on the review of the history of architect and architectural education, the author analyzes the new design tools, working method and thinking manner, and generalizes the different design ideas of new digital media from different points of view of esthetics, historical heritage and the profession of architects.To sum up, the ideas of this dissertation can be summarized as follows:The development of Computer-aided Architecture Design (CAAD) is on the initial stages of its great leap.Design and presentation processes are gradually integrated as a whole, which was often separated under the circumstance of paper as the main design meida.Furthermore, IT also makes architects, engineers and builders, etc. cooperate with each other as a unity.The boundary among architects, engineers, builders is disappearing gradully, their work will interelate with each other and on the same platform of CAAD enviorment.The design process is becoming more and more rarional, both in the analysis of designing and sketching, and in design thinking.
