Along with problems of the lacking of energy and the polluting environment becoming increasingly outstanding, researches on the engine EFI technique and the clean energy are highly concerned. As a sort of clean fuel used in automobile engine, its applicat ion is highly considered by each country, and many research institutes are taking up with the researches on automobile engine burning the liquefied petroleum gas. In order to take advantage of low emission LPG engine, Basing on LPG engine's research actuality and its developing trend, this paper has put forward a project which is a sequence, multiply-point gas injection system using single LPG fuel. The project include the design of hardware and software of the electronic control unit (ECU) with 80C196KB of intel company as the main cmos chip. On the hand of hardware, firstly, design the extending circuit of microcontroller. Secondly, analyze the signal of various sensor and design the circuit for dealing with these signal. At last design the driving circuit; On the hand of software, firstly, confirm the control strategy, then write the program of the control system. Including main program, the sub-program for engine in kinds of work condition, the sub-program for A/D transform.At last, this paper have made the simulated experiment, after finishing the design of hardware and software of the ECU. The tests show that the ECU can meet the basic requires of the injection of LPG vehicles. At the same time, gave out the reference for the design of the best ECU in the future.
