The traffic problems in big cities have became more and more serious inrecent years, and which has became a bottleneck restraining the development of acity. In this course, people generally realize that developing great-capacity andintensive public transport method is an effective way of solving the city trafficproblem.The idea of "public transit preference"has been accept by most ofpeople.The rapid rail transit can solve the traffic problems of big cities in ourcountry because its great-capacity and high-speed.But how to systematically andrationally plan Urban Rail Transit network in metropolitan regions, to let them beadaptable to urban geographical form,structure and pattern of land use, promoteland development, guide the evolution of urban structure, to let Urban Rail Transitoperate the function of leading trunk in comprehensive transport system, and toimprove proportion of public traffic in urban passenger's structure, is the commontask which cities to develop and plan Urban Rail Transit face.The Urban Rail Transit planning is a complex problem that contains manyfactors, such as city plan, economy, traffic etc. It is generally consider that there aretwo parts in Urban Rail Transit plan, network plan and implementation plan. In thisdissertation, the network plan was studied. The scale of network is the prerequisiteand important control condition of network planning; The forecasting of rail transitpassenger amount is the basis and foundation for investment decision and projectevaluation, and it determined the mode of the rail transit and scale of network; Thelaying of network is in the key position of network planning, it determine thatwhether the Urban Rail Transit can work well, and it also determine whether a railtransit project is success. The evaluation of network scheme is the last part of thewhole network planning, and which is the key factor for choosing a best scheme.All of the dissertation is about the four key problems above-mentioned, and adoptregression and classify analyse method as well as the means of the computer.The dissertation has seven chapters. The main content as following:Chapter one, the introduction. Firstly, it discusses the research purpose and thesignification about this article, and then simply introduces the current status and thetrend of development on the rail transit network planning. Finally, the content ofthis article is concluded.Chapter two, Systematic macroscopic analysis of urban rail transit networks.The purpose and principle of transit network planning were confirmed first in thischapter, and then the research of estimate method of the scale of network wascarried on. The functional relation model among scale of network and urban area,population was established based on the data of 32 cities in the world, and takingthe economy factor into account to make the model more perfect. In the last of thedissertation, the structure of rail transit network was studied.Chapter three, studies on the method of passenger forecast. The method ofpassengers amount predict commonly used at present were recommended at first inthis chapter, and then the predict method of passengers amount of railtransportation based on the software "TransCAD"was set up on the basis of " fourstages " method.Chapter four, studies on the method of laying the network. In this chapter, therelation between rail transit network stucture and city form was studied first, andthen a new method of network lying, which make a difference between near futureand far future, between the center of a city and the periphery of a city was bringforward.Chapter five, the evaluation of rail transit network scheme. The character andmethod of network scheme evaluation was introduced first in this chapter, and thenputting the focus in looking for a set of suitable evaluation index. On the basis ofanalysing the evaluation index system commonly used, a new evaluation indexsystem and evaluation structure was set up.Chapter six, the rail transit network planning of ChangChun. The rail transitnetwork planning in ChangChun was carried on the basis of the city plan ofChangChun and the data of OD survey in 2003 using the method introduced above.The planning result confirmed that these methods had well practicability.Chapter seven, the conclusion and expectation.
