The thesis based on non-linear theory, it measured the vibration signals of #1 turbo-generator units in the power plant and their vibration signals that are indispensable to the study are gained. Firstly,the faults of machine stand # l turbo-generator units, serious friction and oil film whirl are diagnosed by FFT analysis. Secondly,applying wavelet analysis to probe the instantaneous abnormal phenomena of the signals and to show their components. The faults of oil film whirl is diagnosed precisely. The result is accurate, effective and conforms to the results of overhaul. At the same time Instability mechanism of the oil film whirl is theoretically analysed. The problems in the methods of fault diagnosis are analyzed. Considering fault range and vibration frequency etc, forward direction logic diagnostic method of hierarchical diagnostic strategy is put forward..and explain how to diagnosis vibration fault with forward direction logic,the accuracy of fault diagnosis is improved.
