Rub-impact fault is one of the common fault in the operation of turbine generator units. It will arouse the turbine generator units of vibration raising and induce the units can't operate or run. Seriously it will make the rotor to form abidingly bend, even cause the units completely destroyed. Therefore, how to quickly and accurately diagnosed rub-impact fault, and prevent the rub-impact fault deterioration, and eliminate fault and reduce economic losses. This will be the focal point of the fault diagnosis. Based on a large number of the rub-impact fault cases, the paper deeply investigates the rub-impact fault of turbine generator units. According to the rub-impact fault of different position and the fault occurred during period, we classsify of rub-impact fault. In accordance with the different classification we detailedly summarize the reason of the fault. In the fault mechanism research aspects, analysis the rub-impact vibration fault mechnism in the different stages, and find out the run-impact vibration fault characteristic in the every stages. In the rub-impact fault monitoring aspects, forward detailed monitoring paramenters and monitoring methods, and summarizes the vibration figures reflected the rub-impact fault characteristic. In the deal with rub-impact fault aspects, sort the different operation stages rub-impact fault and different fault reason aroused rub-impact of the treatment measures. This will bring very useful reference value for to manage rub-impact fault of the turbine generator units. In the rub-impact fault diagnosis aspects, summarizes the fault symptoms and fault reason for to establish the FMEA and the FTA of the rub-impact fault, and combine the FMEA and the FTA to establish the rub-impact fualt diagnosis flowchart. In the last using the diagnosis and treatment methods proposed in this paper to deal with the vibration fault of the 350MW unit, and accurately diagnose and solve the rub-impact fatult between bearing bush and shaft neck of the unit, and verifies the diagnostic methods proposed in the paper having feasibility for practical application.
