Hydraulic Tube Fittings(HTFs) is an important kind of parts in the Construction and Maintain Highway Machine. It is an available way to perform module design and quick manufacturing by using CAD/CAM/CNC technology. This paper researches the processes of design and manufacturing about HTFs base on CAD/CAM/CNC. The main content as follows:1. Modeling of the non-standard HTFs. The basic models of HTFs were established base on analysis their type and characteristic. The basic model is made up of main body and sub body. They were classified and defined respectively. At the same time, the series of main module and sub module were established and their solid modules were generated.2. Design of HTFs base on CAD system: With the support of SolidWORKS and VB, the menu development, model generation, database design and module combination were carried out for each type of HTFs, so that the parameter design of HTFs could be realized.3. NC code generation for HTFs base on CAM system. The standardization of process and cutting factors for the manufacturing of HTFs was discussed first. Then the post processor of EdgeCAM was researched and reconstructed. A new template was established to adapted the NC system in the machine tools so that the NC code generated from EdgeCAM can be used for the machine tools correctly.4. Manufacturing base on CNC transmission. The process automation is Realized from design to manufacture of HTFs by means of security check of NC code, real time transmission and quick producing of NC machine.With the researches mentioned above, a frame for design and manufacturing of HTFs is builded based on CAD/CAM/CNC, software development and hardware modifying. By real operation in our company, the feasibility of frame is proved.
