The article come from practice and service for practice. The mainly research object is the principle city center areas of Chongqing. It fixes eyes upon the space environment, start with the technique method induce, compare and analysis the factor system and theory basis which have influence in the develop and planning of the center area, mainly explore how to use the specific skill and gimmick in the planning to form the image features of the city center area. On the basis of these, after observe, analysis and induce lots of source material, explore the method of topic—element—skill, and use in the practice.The thesis consists of four parts:Part one: include chapter 1 and chapter 2 .It mainly classify and compare the present conditions trait of the city area, then induce the main problem and challenge in planning and designing.Part two: Through the using of the relative theory to reveal the influence factor system and effort mechanism of the research object, and fix the guide principle and method procedure of the center area planning and designing..Part three: This part composed by chapter 4 and 5 .It is the main body of this thesis. First ,induce and summarize the specific design skills of the center area entity element, on the basis further explore the organize and use of the center area space elements features.Part four: This part composed by chapter 6 and 7. put forward the structure principle of the image features, by this fix feature the goal of the Chongqing principal city center area. Meanwhile combine with the practice, to examine the immediate significance and common applicability of the center image features design skills.
