The Architectural Rerserch On Zi Tong Da Miao Temple

The Wenchang Emporer is a spiritual being in ancient China,who masters apportunity,fame and porperty, as well as a immortal being respected by Taoism. He is combined with respectable 'Wenchang Star Emporer'and 'Zitong Emporer'of Sichuang Area. After Song and Yun Dynasty ,the Wenchang belief gets a profound respect from feudal dynasty of the past ,and is supported by broad lower masses .So it spreads very broadly and finally becomes a big royal spiritual .The temple which is built for Wenchang Emporer, spread not only in inland but also in HongKong, Tailand .These buildings are very important part of ancient religion constrctions. The object I am researching is the oldest temple of Wenchang Emporer----Sichuang Zitong Damiao Temple ,which lies on the Qiqushang mountain in Sichuang .It is one of the scenic sports and historical sites in ancient road of Jian Men .In November ,1996,it is included in the national respected areas by State Council .The Damiao Temple continuously expands in rising and declining .The ancient buildings gether the style of Yuan Dynasty ,Ming Dynasty ,Qing Dynasty into the one ,which is large scaled and narious.In fact ,the Damiao Temple is a typicality of Wenchang buildings in China .Though researching ,we can enrich the knowledge about ancient religion buildings . That the Damiao Temple strides across three dynasties reflects the process of style changing on certain .Because the Damiao Temple building is always renewed and repaired by folk, the folk economy and local traditional techniques give deep effect on the style of Damiao buildings.Jinniu ancient road is also a cultural corridor where Damiao Temple is located .The style and the techniques of the buildings melt the characters in North and South of China to take on some local feature .Mr Liang Sicheng visited the Damiao Temple in Nov 1917 and praised it as 'the museum of ancient buildings '.The graduate thsis will research this Zitong Temple with the background of developing of Wenchang culture .It will analyse the history, overall arrangment and space environment to find out its specialty under the influence of geographical environment .On the base of Ying Zao Fa Shi and Gong Bu Gong Cheng Zuo Fa ,the thesis will analyze the typical wood construction .I will it will give a overall explanation for the theory of Mr Liang .
